It was overall clean, that's all I needed, it had a microwave, a sofa bed, and a stone fireplace too...

We had a very nice stay in Varenna just off Varenna, the center of Varenna in 20 minutes on foot and the Fiumelatte bakery closes for the day. The bed was comfortable, a sitting area, a fireplace and an electric kettle were useful. Got private bathroom with bidet...

I had a truly wonderful stay at a charming old mill in a picturesque village near the lake. The views from the living room were absolutely breathtaking, and I loved sitting out on the balcony in the evenings. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessary amenities for cooking. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, even arranging a taxi for us when we needed it. It was also convenient to have the train station just steps away.

Wow! This place is like something out of a fairytale! It's a short, charming walk from the train station, and situated next to a beautiful brook that provides a soothing soundtrack all day long. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Plus, the views from the living area were absolutely stunning, overlooking the lake. We also appreciated the helpful tips given to us by the owner, who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Just a couple of minor things to note. For fellow UK travellers, be aware that you'll need adaptors for charging your devices, as the plugs are different.

The restaurant serving local cuisine was a pleasant surprise. Also, having free WiFi was great - now I can share my vacation photos on Instagram! Meeting with the 24-hour front desk staff was definitely a memorable experience.

Oh, it was just so fun trying to figure out the stovetop! Burnt my fingers a few times, but nothing major.
